Transplant Coordinators Society

Founded on 30 June 2017, The South African Transplant Coordinator Society is a body created to represent and unite all coordinators in South Africa.

Anja Meyer

Chairperson
Anja has been a transplant coordinator since 2012. She initially worked at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre and then after 4 years, relocated to Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital where she has been since October 2016. Anja is currently enrolled for McUR at UJ and enjoy spending her free time fishing and outdoors.

Mary Duncan

Secretary
Mary has been a transplant coordinator for 9 years. Presently, she is the paediatric coordinator at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Johannesburg. Mary loves the bush and walking.

Zibuyile (Buyi) Koloane

Buyi has 10 years of ICU experience and currently works as transplant coordinator at Greys Hospital, Pietermaritzburg KZN, where she has been for the last 5 years. Her hobbies include music and movies.

Lucille Claassen

Lucille worked in ICU for 14 years and for the last 3 years she has been working as transplant coordinator at Livingstone hospital, East London. Lucille goes to the bush to lose her self- enjoying hiking trails on weekends.

Luke Steenkamp

Luke has been a transplant coordinator for the past 3 years at Grootte Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. Prior to that he’s worked in trauma emergency for 10 years. His hobbies include cricket and music!

Cindy Goldi

Cindy has been a procurement coordinator for the last 18 years and is currently at Gateway Hospital in Durban from where she manages the Busamed group’s transplant program. In her free time, Cindy enjoys both dam and deep sea fishing!
Although in its infancy, SATCS has already made huge strides in uniting the South African Coordinator community and will continue to grow and provide much needed support.
